CALDA Submits Comment on Proposed Elimination of the 60-Day Grace Period

On October 22, 2026, CALDA submitted a comment urging the Department of Homeland Security to withdraw its proposal to eliminate the 60-day grace period for employment-based visa holders. The comment explains how the proposed change could affect H-1B workers, their families, and employers, and urges DHS to exclude H-1B workers or narrow the proposal.
